The tale of Scarlett and her sister Rosie, the two Red Riding Hoods and the visit from the big bad wolf. When the big bad wolf comes and terrorises the little girls and their grandma leaving Scarlett scarred and their grandmother dead the girls swear to hunt the wolves known as Fenris for the rest of their lives.
Scarlett is over protective and treats Rosie like a child, unfortunately they are both still children.
An interesting twist on the old Red Riding Hood tale. Filled with a lovely and awkward romance, sisterly love, guilt and duty Sisters Red is a rollercoaster ride that I found hard to put down.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A brilliant retelling of the Hansel and Gretel story, woven into this strange world set up in Sisters Red. Ansel and Gretchen survived the witches attack man years ago, but Gretchen's twin didn't which breaks their family until they are left with their step-mother who doesn't want them and throws them out. This is where the story begins.
Gretchen is a capable but trusting young woman who stands up with Rosie and Scarlett of the first book in impressive lead characters.
The ending perfectly sets up the next book, though I had wanted to not read past this book as they have changed the cover art so it doesn't match the first two books, I am keen to learn what happens next.
