Kickstrarter: Mother Russia

Mother Russia is a comic brought out by the guys at FUBAR.
FUBAR have been releasing single issues irregularly for some time now, they write comics about wars and history and always add zombies to the mix.
Mother Russia is no different.
"Mother Russia opens in zombie occupied Stalingrad in 1943. What the war started in Stalingrad the zombie outbreak finished. It’s an open graveyard for 2 million soldiers and civilians.
We follow a young female sniper as she watches the apocalypse unfold from the safety of a well supplied and impregnable bell tower. She spends her day thinning out the zombie herds one at a time.
Day after day. Month after month, until one day she sees something through her scope she hasn’t seen in a long time: a perfectly healthy 2 year old boy and he’s just stumbled right into the zombie apocalypse"
You got to admit that sounds interesting, right?

The initial goal was $3,500, but they raised a whopping $95,908.
So of course there were stretch goals and a load of bonuses were given.
Now you can see in this photo, more than those three items I pledged for arrived.
@$25,000 - Fubar Guts and Glory one-shot
@$50,000 - 32 pg Sargent Kilroy mini comic
@$65,000 - 24 pg cold war special comic.
@$80,000 - 28 pg full colour B-Sides and Parties mini comic.
Then as it was taking so long to get all the comics printed and we headed way out of the January 2014 delivery date, free comic book day came and went, and the artist was delivered a heap of extra copies, so decided to add them to the pile for anyone getting physical copies.
On top of this a digital copy of Ace of Spades and last years free comic book day comic were also given to all backers.

 Mother Russia.
It's a really neat size and the art is terrific.
I can't wait to get into it and find out what happens.

The mini comics; B-Sides &Rarities, Kilroy and Mother Russia.
The full size comics; Ace of Spades; Guts and Glory; Better Red Than Dead.

It was a little late in coming but I think it was worth it to get this load of comics in the mail.
I'm pretty happy with what I got for my $35.
I still haven't taken the time to search out my name in the thank you pages at the back of the comic, but with 1890 backers, it could take a while to find.
